Intellistor (Pty) Ltd is a South African value-added importer and distributor of specialised technology products and services, with a focused presence across Southern Africa. Established in 2005, we have built our reputation on deep product knowledge, hands-on technical expertise, and long-standing partnerships with some of the world's leading technology manufacturers.
Our business is deliberately focused. Rather than attempting to cover a broad technology landscape, we have chosen to develop genuine specialist capability across three core niche areas where we can add the most value for our customers and channel partners.
Through our RUXO Labels manufacturing division, Intellistor has established itself as the leading converter of inkjet-coated label material in Southern Africa — a position recognised and acknowledged by leading international label material suppliers.

Digital Data — Storage, Duplication, Distribution, Inspection & Erasure
The foundation on which Intellistor was built. From the company's inception in 2005, our focus on value-added distribution of specialist data storage and duplication products established our reputation as a reliable, knowledgeable channel partner. This division covers equipment and solutions for digital data storage, duplication, distribution, inspection, and certified data erasure.
Medical Imaging — DICOM Distribution & Archiving
Intellistor supplies the solutions that connect to medical imaging equipment to manage and distribute the DICOM data it produces. We distribute Perennity's iMAGE Portal suite for secure medical image storage and sharing, and the Epson Discproducer PP-100III for automated patient study disc publishing — together providing a complete DICOM distribution workflow.
On-Demand Colour Label Printing & Finishing
Intellistor entered this market in 2014 and has grown to become one of Southern Africa's most capable distributors in this space. This division covers the full ecosystem: colour label printers, finishing equipment, label design software, and our own RUXO Labels blank media manufactured locally. We distribute Epson ColorWorks, Afinia Label, and OKI Pro-9 and Pro-10 — covering inkjet, digital press, and LED toner technologies.

Afinia's portfolio spans from entry-level desktop colour label printers to production-grade digital presses and label finishing systems — providing solutions for businesses at every stage of their label printing journey.

OKI's professional colour label printer ranges use digital LED dry toner technology, with distinct advantages for transparent, metallic, and coloured label media. CMYK plus white options enable premium label production on challenging substrates.

One of the most significant milestones in Intellistor's history was the decision to invest in our own label conversion manufacturing capability. When Intellistor entered the on-demand label printing market in 2014, it quickly became apparent that the printer alone was not enough — the success of on-demand printing depended on reliable, affordable, locally available blank label media.
At that time, the South African market presented a clear gap: traditional label converters were not geared to supply smaller quantities of blank media with short lead times, and many of the specialist inkjet-printable substrates required for on-demand printing were not locally stocked by major international suppliers due to insufficient demand.
Recognising this gap as both a market need and a strategic opportunity, Intellistor invested in its first label conversion machine towards the end of 2016. By February 2017 we were supplying our first locally converted blank labels to the on-demand colour label printing market.
In July 2017 we were granted the Trade Mark Registration for RUXO, establishing the RUXO Labels brand as Intellistor's own label media range. Today, RUXO Labels is a recognised brand in the South African label printing market, offering a wide range of inkjet-printable blank label substrates manufactured locally to competitive pricing standards with fast, reliable availability.
Our manufacturing capability has grown significantly since those early days. Intellistor currently operates seven label conversion machines, including a modern roll-to-roll converting system for digital laser-cut label applications.
Today, Intellistor is recognised as the leading converter of inkjet-coated label material in Southern Africa. This position is not self-proclaimed — it is acknowledged by some of the world's most respected international label substrate manufacturers, who recognise Intellistor's RUXO Labels operation as the pre-eminent converter of inkjet-coated label materials in the Southern African market.

A fully functional, live demonstration facility equipped with working installations across our core product range. Prospective customers and channel partners can evaluate equipment under realistic operating conditions before making a purchasing decision.

Label Conversion Manufacturing

Distribution Warehouse & Offices
A well-stocked distribution warehouse carrying inventory across all three core focus areas, ensuring product availability and fast order fulfilment for channel partners across Southern Africa. Sales, support, and administrative offices are co-located on the same premises.
